1. Who we are
Hey Nola is a recruitment brand operated by Petit Guanxi SL, located in Barcelona, Spain. Petit Guanxi SL is the data controller responsible for the personal information described in this notice.
This privacy policy explains how we handle candidate information collected through our application forms, including lead-generation forms hosted on social platforms, our website, email, and messaging channels.
2. Information we collect
Depending on the opportunity you apply for, we may collect:
- Full name
- Email address
- Phone number
- Location
- Professional experience
- Availability
- Answers to application and qualification questions
We only ask for information that is relevant to assessing your application. Please do not send us sensitive personal data unless we specifically request it.
3. How we use information
We use candidate information for recruitment purposes only, specifically to:
- Review and process applications
- Contact candidates about their application
- Assess suitability for current and relevant future opportunities
- Share relevant candidate information with the company or recruitment partner responsible for the opportunity, when necessary
We do not sell candidate information for advertising purposes, and we do not use it for marketing or newsletters.
For candidates in Europe, our legal bases are the steps taken at your request prior to entering a contract, our legitimate interest in operating recruitment services, and, where required, your consent.
5. Data retention
We retain candidate information only as long as necessary for the purposes described above. Typically, we keep application data for up to 24 months so we can consider you for relevant future opportunities, unless you ask us to delete it sooner or a longer period is required by law.
6. Candidate rights
Candidates in the European Union and the United Kingdom have the right under the GDPR to access, rectify, erase, restrict, or object to the processing of their personal data, as well as the right to data portability and the right to withdraw consent where processing is based on consent.
Candidates in the United States may also request access to, correction of, or deletion of their information, subject to applicable state privacy laws.
To exercise any of these rights, contact us at laetitia.amiault@petitguanxi.com. European candidates also have the right to lodge a complaint with their local supervisory authority, such as the Spanish Data Protection Agency (AEPD).
7. Data security
We apply appropriate technical and organisational measures to protect candidate information against unauthorised access, loss, or misuse. Access is limited to the people who need it to carry out recruitment activities. No system can be guaranteed completely secure, but we review our safeguards regularly.
8. International data transfers
Because we recruit for opportunities in both the United States and Europe, candidate information may be transferred outside the European Economic Area. Where this happens, we rely on appropriate safeguards such as the European Commission's Standard Contractual Clauses or an adequacy decision, so that your data remains protected.
